Snow???
Every few days you need a break to regroup from road trippin. Las Cruces NM was it: groceries, laundry, dump & fill. Wound up staying at an RV park, not my favorite but sometimes necessary. Not too crowded and there was the convenience of water/dump at each site + a laundry and most importantly a shower! It was also time to try to catch up on blogging which is proving to be very difficult to keep current from the road! As I write this, it has been at least 3 weeks since my last posting. In between there have been a lot of national parks and hiking. So had looked forward to a day in Las Cruces to download pics & blog.
Good decision because when I woke in the morning, I thought for a minute that I must be in Alaska - covered in snow!! Definitely no traveling today without proper snow tires. Means we also had to change our plans. Originally we were headed north to Flagstaff, Santa Fe, and Albuquerque, but now we are shifting gears to Plan B heading on a southern route away from the snow and cold.
Jody thought her water line had frozen so she took the chance to drive through the snow and headed south toward Tucson. I left the next day and loved that I could put my layers of winter clothes back into my storage drawer as the temps rose. My next touristy stop was Tombstone before rejoining Jody.
