Week of tweaks…
Brought the van back to “daddy” (Erik) for some tweaks: the biggy is the repair of the drawers under the bench so they can be taken out and replace the latches with secure ones that won’t break. Mission accomplished. Then we installed a better radio that had bluetooth so I can play my audio books without having to be hunched over my phone on my lap bending an ear down trying to hear. Done. Changed the placement of my DC plug for my fridge so that my “stuff” in the garage doesn’t hit it and accidently turn it off like it did twice before. Simple fix. Relieved. Got to attached the Moon Shade I had ordered & sent to Erik. It’s for rain/sun protection. Love it. Ordered a car wash kit that is used on airplanes. Wow! Fabulous! Looks like new and got all the bugs off! Replaced backup lights with really bright LED’s. I can now see! All fairly minor tweaks. Nothing major has gone wrong and everything seems to have held tight. So really, really pleased. After a week, I was ready to roll again. Next stop: visit Norman’s daughter in Austin, my cousin in Bandera, and then meet up with Jody again in Fredricksburg. She had gone for warranty repairs on her rig in Tennessee. From Fredricksburg, we are going to head west to Arizona with lots of stops along the way at national parks. First is Carlsbad Caverns just over the border in NM.
